SAS Showcases Enterprise AI Strategy in Singapore, Focusing on Trust, Governance, and Technology Integration

SAS showcases its enterprise AI strategy at the SAS Innovate conference in Singapore, emphasizing the integration of agentic AI with technologies such as machine learning and computer vision, while focusing on trust and governance issues in enterprise AI applications.

Singapore – 2026 – At the SAS Innovate Singapore conference, SAS showcased its enterprise AI strategy, emphasizing that organizations should scale AI operations by combining multiple technologies and placing trust and governance at the core of AI applications.

SAS believes that enterprises should not adopt agentic AI in isolation, but rather integrate the technology stack that best fits business scenarios to unlock greater value. Patrick Xhonneux, Senior Vice President and Head of Marketing at SAS, said at the conference: “From an enterprise use-case perspective, the primary goal of agentic AI is to break down data silos and organizational silos, while automating business processes so they can scale.”

Xhonneux noted that the focus of enterprises is shifting from the technology itself to process accuracy, especially process repeatability. In his speech, he highlighted three areas that enterprises need to focus on for successful deployment of agentic AI: managing compound errors or risks, building trust, and providing repeatable blueprints for AI-assisted processes.

In addition, Xhonneux suggested that enterprises use converged technologies to build digital twins, reducing costs and creating more business opportunities. For example, on the basis of using agentic AI to manage complex workflows, enterprises can combine machine learning technologies such as generative AI, as well as computer vision for pattern recognition, to safely turn risks into opportunities.

“The core of optimization is selecting the best outcome from all the technologies involved. When these capabilities come together, what you get is not just a better model, but a digital twin,” Xhonneux said.

In 2025, SAS established a partnership with Epic Games' Unreal Engine, combining SAS Viya analytics software with UE's 3D simulation technology to enhance its digital twin solutions. At this Innovate conference, Xhonneux shared successful digital twin pilot cases with customers in the global manufacturing and healthcare sectors.

Meanwhile, SAS said that while banks and financial services institutions remain its primary customer base, the growing adoption of AI applications has led to increasing demand for SAS solutions in other industries. Therefore, during this year's Innovate conference, SAS not only targeted potential customers in manufacturing and healthcare, but also showcased its solution use cases in the energy sector. For example, SAS helped an oil and gas customer create a digital protection mechanism to detect unsafe working conditions, protect worker safety, and avoid costly repairs.During the conference's opening keynote, Craig Jennings, Vice President of Financial Services for SAS Australia, New Zealand and ASEAN, also spoke about enterprises' growing focus on trust and governance when considering AI investments. He said: "Just 12 months ago, companies were asking: how can we adopt AI as quickly as possible? Today, they are raising bigger questions: how do we trust AI? How do we govern, manage and attempt to control it? How do we ensure that every AI investment delivers measurable value?"

Jennings emphasized: "Success does not belong to organizations that simply use the most AI, but to those that apply AI intelligently, responsibly and with purpose. This is the importance of trustworthy AI — you need to be confident that your AI is transparent, well-governed, and capable of creating value."

The SAS Innovate Singapore conference is one of SAS's key events worldwide for showcasing its AI and data analytics innovations. The conference not only presented SAS's technology roadmap in the enterprise AI field, but also further highlighted its industry positioning in helping enterprises achieve trustworthy and scalable AI applications.
