Intrepid Metals will launch a porphyry copper-gold exploration survey at the Coral Project in Arizona in August.

Intrepid Metals announced it will commence a 65 line-kilometer induced polarization (IP) survey at its Coral project in Arizona in early August to identify porphyry copper-gold mineralization systems and optimize targets for the Q3 drilling program.

Intrepid Metals (TSX-V:INTR) announced that it will launch a 65-line-kilometer induced polarization (IP) survey at its Corral Project in Cochise County, Arizona, in early August. The survey aims to identify chargeability and resistivity anomalies that may represent deep, sulfide-rich intrusive centers, thereby optimizing drill hole locations and directions for subsequent drilling.

This IP survey is part of the company's 2026 exploration program, which totals 10,000 meters of drilling. Approximately 5,000 meters have been allocated to priority porphyry copper-gold targets, while the remaining 5,000 meters will continue to evaluate and expand the carbonate replacement (CRD) copper-gold-silver mineralization zones identified within the project. Intrepid Metals is collaborating with Teck Resources to advance exploration at the Corral Project.

Matt Lennox-King, Chairman and Interim CEO of the company, stated: "Our previous drilling has successfully demonstrated the scale and continuity of the CRD system, and the focus of our 2026 efforts is to identify the potential porphyry source driving this mineralization. The IP survey will provide critical data for this objective."

The Corral Project is located in southeastern Arizona, with geological characteristics similar to the historic Bisbee mining district. The Copper Queen mine in the Bisbee district produced approximately 53 million tonnes of ore at 6% copper, along with the Lavender Pit porphyry deposit, which has resources of 223 million tonnes at 0.63% copper.

Intrepid Metals acquired the Corral Project in 2023, recognizing the area's potential for both near-surface CRD copper-gold-silver mineralization and deep porphyry copper-gold systems. The company focuses on exploring critical metals such as copper, silver, and zinc within the established Arizona mining district.
